I'm having trouble getting my watch to load anything. When I load a program on it, it buzzes a few times, shows a number on the corner and what looks like random pixels on the other corner, then it buzzes again and returns to the pairing screen, with a big bluetooth symbol and where it says "Pair code:"

I tried holding the button until the screen says "loading". Then I run

python compileandload.py -n -d `cat watch_address.txt`

the loading seems to be going fine, with screen after screen of numbers printed to the console and the watch showing the "hourglass" screen. It ends with:

I get the watch buzzing: bz-bz, bzzz, bzzz. Then the weird display, screen goes blank, another buzz, weird display again, blank & bzzz, weird display, blank & bzzz, then it shows "Loading..." and we're back where we started.

I've had this behavior both with SDK 114 and the older SDK 112.

As far as I know, there currently isn't a fix for this. You might want to ping tech support to see if they can help you but you'll probably have to get your watch exchanged.

I have been looking at this issue of the watch constantly rebooting into the recovery/pairing mode, and although the complete fix isn't quite ready, I have developed a script that can repair the watch. If your watch is affected by this bug and we haven't exchanged it for you yet, you can fix it yourself using the script. Unzip the file attached to this post into your pulse_sdk/tools/ directory and then run:

python tools/repair.py -d [bluetooth address]
# watch will reboot
python compileandload.py -n -d [bluetooth address]
