How to reset / reflash the watch?

I've installed the yellow box demo app and am ready to try flashing something different, but how do I reset the watch to put it into a ready-to-receive state? L2CAPServer reports:

Also, why does it take two minutes to transfer 32 KB? That is less than 2400 baud!

Try holding the button for like 20-30 seconds, it *should* got into a "loading" state.

That worked eventually, but I had to re-pair the bluetooth device to get l2capserver to work again. Is there an easier way to do an edit/compile/install cycle that doesn't involve five minutes of fiddling and waiting for it to flash?

You can develop first with the simulator, then transfer it to the watch.

Also, you shouldn't have to repair to send an update.

Things to try (in this order):
- kill L2CAPServer and start it again
- reset watch by holding button for about 6 seconds
- reset to backup firmware by holding for about 20 seconds

Try loading the firmware after each of these steps.

Let go of the button when the screen says "loading..." (it's a question...)
