Nice, this does look awesome.
Do the pages only come thru every 15 minutes as well, or when someone pages you?

Would be cool to have the android app push any notifications you get when ever it does the poll for new information as well. Or just push the phone notifications when it gets them, Wouldn't need icons really, just the notifications like "Missed call from (###) ###-####", "New txt from JL---{First 10 characters}", "Call from JL"

I would definitely grab the app then, as I rely on the watch everyday to get my notifications cause my phone is always on vibrate, and it's kind of weak.

Yes the pages are only received every 15 minutes along with all other updates (right now just weather and site alerting updates). I'm definitely adding text messaging soon which would of course by nearly instant (within 5 seconds). I'm having issues with phone calls simply due to the fact that I have to turn bluetooth off and back on after every transfer and this because android for some reason is not releasing the bluetooth connection with the watch quickly enough. When you combine this with an incoming phone call, the app suddenly needs permission to turn bluetooth back on which is something I still need to look into. Once I've figured that out, I can re-enable phone alerts. To your point I do indeed not have to add additional code to my watch app since the normal messaging routines can handle any alert. I would love to build out the alerting more on my watch but unfortunately this watch doesn't have much memory so we're super limited in what we do. I got 4 bytes left! HA!

BTW average battery life is about 36 hours due to the fact that I do not keep the watch connected to the phone. I'm sure you can push it to 2-3 days if you're not using the weather alerting BUT until other alerts are available (with a different watch app), that wouldn't really make much sense.

Johan,
Sounds Awesome. Not too worried about the phone calls, maybe push after the call is missed, instead of during. I mostly use it for the text messages so that would work perfect. I may install this tomorrow, and start having people use the Pager function. Is there any way to add the pager function to like a personal page, have it like in a iframe on my page that is linked to the page function on your page? Might get more use then.

Johan,

I tried to install the app, but when ever I try to update my inpulsewatch.com account I get the follwoing error. This happens no matter what options I select,.

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e14'

There are fewer columns in the INSERT statement than values specified in the VALUES clause. The number of values in the VALUES clause must match the number of columns specified in the INSERT statement.

Excellent idea - yeah I can definitely do that. Should be available in the next few days...

Yep, was able to update my info. I have noticed one thing though, I've had to change my Phone ID three times now, 1 digit keeps going from a 1 to a 5 and back (##:##:##:1D:##:## & ##:##:##:5D:##:##) , seem slike after each restart of the Android App. I know this is the bluetooth mac address, so I'm nto sure why it keeps changing.

I did uninstall Openwatch, and I'll keep an eye to see if maybe it was causign this.

The paging works great. I thought of another idea, guess I need to learn to write android apps. But the idea was to have a Android Pager App, where others could page you directly from the app.

Not sure why your phone would report 2 different Mac addresses. From what I read many recommended the use of the mac address to get a unique identifier which is why I decided to use it. If there are more ppl experiencing the exact same issue, then I need to do a bit more research.

Ok, so it did it again. Not sure what is causing my Bluetooth MAC address to fail. It might be that I have a custom ROM on my phone, and it's messing with it. If I'm the only one having the issue, it's not a big issue for me as I have a link to the accoutn page saved, so I can change it quickly.

I really like the looks and functions of this app. I've been running it for over 24 hours now on my watch without charge, and without problems. I even checked my Bluetooth files in the phone and it's got the 1D setting, so not sure where the 5D is coming from.

Alright just got a request to support people outside of USA as well with the option to show C instead of F for the temp - I'm sure that won't be a problem. I'm not going to be able to support showing the time in 24 hour mode simply since I'm out of space on my watch (got 4 bytes left). Reading the time in 12 hour mode should be easy enough for everybody :)

Also - just to let you know that I'm currently receiving phone alerts and text messages on my watch as requested. I'm actually surprised of the response time. It typically takes about 2 seconds for my phone to send the alert to my watch once the call/text comes in. Anyway, not sure when I'm going to release that update yet since I need to make sure everything is working fine first. I'm a little concerned with all the hacks I had to put in place to get the bluetooth portion to work right so I want to rethink that strategy first (probably within the next week or so).

If you need a beta tester just let me know. Obviously I can find the way off the wall issues.
Oh also I'm at almost 48 hours on 1 charge

I'll ping you if I need somebody to beta test KT! Also, please let me know how long your battery lasted in the end. I'm kinda anal about battery life :)

Also, just to let my European friends know that you can now request the temps to be shown in Celsius instead of Farenheit through our site.

I would love to beta test also and currently on more than 24hrs. Also sometimes I open up the Inpulse connect app and there is no log of being connected to the watch. Does it close after a couple hrs or anything? Would it be possible to add a icon to the status bar showing its still running or an option to have it n when the phone restarts? Also is watchcom a force send for the weather info?

So the watch battery died sometime last night, which means between 50 & 60 hours on one charge.

On a note with the changing MAC add. Today after charging the watch I started the phone application, and the add was different, 5D. I checked the BT add on the phone and it was still the 1D.

Ok so my phone is now giving a different MAC everytime BT is turned on. I'll see if I can track this down. I had over 10 different MAC add that had been assigned to my BT.

On the MAC address thing, could you have a option to chose to maybe use the ESN or phonenumber as the idetifier? I don't know if those are able to be read by the program or not.

Those would be optional unique identifiers as well. I'll take a look at it to see what I can come up with...

Alright, once my updated android app is release, you can also use your device id (under the status screen indentified as MEID). It's implemented on my end but I can't release it yet since I'm still testing the call and sms alerts.

Awesome,

Also I think I may have a way to save a few bytes. If you shorten the days to "Mon, Tue, Wed,Thr,Fri,Sat,Sun" it might save some space. The only reason I thought of this was that Wednesday displays as Wednesda

Yes that's clearly a bug in the SDK because I don't do anything with dates, I just display them. I've noticed multiple date related bugs in the past. Once our phone is connected to your watch again, it will most likely have the correct date it (it did on mine)
