Hi all developers,

I have no idea how to built my own app so are there any developers out there who would like to develop my app idea that I have had for years…

Never lose your phone/laptop/Ipad ever again…
Introducing… (((The Bleeper App)))

A bleeping and vibrating app for your watch that connects to your phone/laptop/Ipad that automatically bleeps and vibrates when they are about 50ft away from each other giving you more than enough time to return to collect your phone/laptop/Ipad. If possible will bleep even if the device is switched off.

Available select option on the watch to unselect bleeping and vibrating because you are not travelling with your phone laptop or Ipad today

Notes: Bleeping and vibrating app should also be available on the phone/laptop/Ipad just encase you walk out the house without putting your watch on - phone/laptop/Ipad app should alert you to put on your watch.

Devices and watch should stop bleeping and vibrating when paired back together again.

If you would like to discuss this idea more please feel free to contact me on 077650 44 085 or at [email protected]
Regards
Frank Butler :)

Bluetooth range is 30ft, so the 50ft idea won't work.

30ft would even be better. you could set it to below that if needed.

I've had a stab at an implementation. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=377&p=2067#p2067

Because the watch is (mostly) powered off, it's very difficult to get it to be responsive and warn as soon as the bluetooth gets disconnected. It's also difficult to give repeated buzzes - it's currently about once per minute. The watch only pairs with one device (usually your phone, but in my case a mac) and doesn't support pairing with iOS devices (unless jailbroken).

So, not perfect, but given the limitations of the hardware and SDK it may help just that once when you forget.
