So I just got my phone a couple days ago and so far it's awesome. I've been trying out some different apps but am fairly consistently having problems with my bluetooth connection. I'm seeing this a lot:

About to load resources
resources/inpulse_resources.bin
trying to connect to:
localhost
.
2
Got error in response. Try restarting L2CAPServer and try again.

Any tips on how to get around this? I don't know if there's just a lot of RF noise where I live or something but it seems that 4/5 times (at least), loading anything onto the watch fails with this error.

On the server side of things, this is what I'm seeing:

Got a connection
Parsing Command 32
Buffer of length 12
Trying to connect to btl2cap://0050c279edd5:1001;ReceiveMTU= ... mitMTU=250
Exception while trying to connect via bluetooth: javax.bluetooth.BluetoothConnectionException: Failed to open connection(2) [0xe00002c0]
B 0 S: 1302460174675
Parsing Command 0
Buffer of length 18
Exception while trying to send bluetooth data: java.lang.NullPointerException
B 0 S: 1302460174676
Parsing Command 1
Buffer of length 4
Exception while trying to receive bluetooth data: java.lang.NullPointerException
========================== Sending Error response

I've been playing around with power cycling bluetooth on my machine etc but so far nothing seems to provide a consistent fix. Any help would be much appreciated!

Does this only occur when loading resources? Which OS/computer are you using? Usually it's best to keep your watch within 30cm or 1' of your Bluetooth adapter. When the l2cap java server crashes, it's usually necessary to reboot your machine...

It happens when loading the app bin as well as resources. I'm using OS X 10.6.7 on a MBP.

Actually, I just posted almost this exact thing in the SDK Forum. OS X 10.6.7 MBP.

If I can get the watch to the Bluetooth Pairing screen (I.e. fully restart the watch) then it almost always works. The problem is that it depends on what app is running on the watch. Sometimes it take a ton of tries to reset the watch.

Restarting the L2CAPServer doesn't make a difference.

Help?

I updated to the new SDK 1.1.2 which doesn't seem to make a difference. I was able to load Stephanie's Game of Life onto my phone from the stock firmware (-n), but I'm not able to load the resources. Looks like the same issue:

I've had some success after loading a different app on my phone. Seems that maybe the app I was running was somehow interfering w/ uploading the file via bluetooth.

I have the same problem, it keeps reporting "About to load firmware image
trying to connect to:
localhost
.
2
Got error in response. Try restarting L2CAPServer and try again.
"

The last app I am running on the watch is the Doomed from the example. After that, I can't load any other app.

BTW, I am also on Mac OS X. 10.6.6 with the SDK 1.1.2. Does anyone figure out a solution? Thanks!

@testswagg I think you need to pop back into factory firmware mode by holding down the button for 16s until it says 'loading...'

Then try transferring a new app.
