Hello!
How can I make it to show russian fonts?
Openwatch when first notification comes, makes the watch to go in continous reset mode, until "ready to load firmware" shows up - so I don't know if openwatch is able to send russian notifications, but regular notifier via android phone does not

Openwatch doesn't work with the 3.9.x series of notification apps. It only works with 3.8.x, but the 3.8.x firmwares are outdated and very old.

You should use Multiwatch. I believe it is in the App Store.

What does multiwatch do? It seems that it enables one to use several faces at once. Do you mean that I should try and use an older firmware with a newer one at the same time? What is the main difference between 8... and 9... IM firmware versions?

I believe that the clock in the 3.8.x notification and 3.9.x notification apps are different, or at least rendered differently.

Openwatch is trying to do something with the clock when it sends notifications to the inPulse watch, so it makes 3.9.x reboot.

Multiwatch has notifications built-in; the Multiwatch notifications work with Openwatch.

The binary on the store doesn't work for me either.

Maybe you should send the binary from your computer.

inPulse only supports a subset of ASCII at the moment, with no accents or other character sets (like Cyrillic) at the moment.

That means that there is no way I can use this watch until you upgrade the firmware even If openwatch would work? Do you have plans to do it anytime soon?

We are looking into supporting Cyrillic but no formal date or plans yet. Sorry.

ok, this is unfortunate, but ok.
Have to tell everybody - it is advertised here without mentioning about no cyrillic support. And it is useless without it. (

Two questions:

1. Why is the watch useless without Cyrillic? As a watch it should still be perfectly functional? I don't use mine for notifications at all.

2. There isn't anything fundamental that I've seen that prevents someone who really wants it from making it work - the watch is pretty easy to program for and it shouldn't be difficult to build a fixed width font function using individual images from resources.

1. Because I got it to show notifications and not time. Don't you buy the watch like that to get notifications, not just watch that one have to recharge every day just to see small time numbers?
2. Can you give me a hint on how to make it read cyrillic? If inpulse says that it is impossible? Transfer cyrillic to images and transfer them to whatch?

Not me; when I bought mine it was because I wanted a device I could program and the example of the powerpoint clicker was perfect motivation since I wanted to use something different to the normal hand-held clickers in the presentations I deliver.

If you know how to program in C then it'll be (relatively) straight forward as long as the messages are being sent from the phone are not being mangled. Worse case it'll be a modified program on the phone to make it send messages in an appropriate format, and then the counterpart program on the watch. I'd start by examining the pulse_get_notification call results to see what is being sent from the phone first, and then decide which part needs attention first. This assumes you can program though, so if not then "it's impossible" unfortunately.

Thank you, you are right - it is a presenter also.
I know C but not as good as I might need to do that.
Maybe you guys at ALLERTA INPULSE can add a transliteration addon to android software so the watch will be getting transliterated messages in latin? Isn't it easier and takes less time than adding CYR support?

Version 1.3.0 of the inPulse Android app transliterates Cyrillic characters to Latin before sending messages to the inPulse. I know it's not an ideal solution but hopefully this will be more useful than before.

I am working on adding terminus 6x12 font to inpulse wath.
Unicode support requires lot of space (about 1k for unicode-to-glyph translation table and 2.25k for 256 glyphs).
Unfortunately at this moment my device had stopped booting and I am searching way to deal with it.
