we can use several undocumented/private functions on pulse sdk but not on simulator.
(example: adc_battery_update, batt_life, current_charge_state (or) pulse_battery_get_charge_state)

will we be able to access those ever?

We can't guarantee access to battery information (due to potential changes in our battery monitoring code), but we can definitely let you know if it changes.
